New Procedure for Issuing Visas to Armenian Students

For citizens from Armenia who wish to start, continue, or refine their studies, a new procedure to be followed for the issuance of visas by the Italian Embassy in Yerevan has been established.

In fact, all entry visa applications for study purposes will be received by the Italian Consular Authorities, exclusively through the TLS Company.

Armenian students wishing to come to Italy to study may do so through Erasmus, Italian language courses, or university study.

Erasmus

The Armenian citizen must present:

– Form for the issue of Visa C (up to 90 days) if the stay is shorter than ninety days.

– Form for the issue of Visa D, if the stay is longer than ninety days.

– Passport plus a photocopy thereof.

– Return ticket.

– Letter issued by the Italian University for participation in the Erasmus program;

– Letter issued by the Armenian University, containing all the information relating to the course of study being attended in the country of origin.

Italian Language Courses

The Armenian citizen must present:

– Form for the issue of Visa C (up to 90 days) if the stay is shorter than 90 days.

– Form for the issue of Visa D, if the stay is longer than ninety days.

– Passport plus a photocopy thereof.

– Return ticket.

– Enrolment letter for the Italian course, indicating the duration, daily hours, and costs.

– Course payment receipt.

– Availability of accommodation.

– Proof of basic knowledge of the Italian language.

– Adequate financial means for subsistence during the stay.

Health insurance for the entire stay in Italy.

University Studies

Applications for degree courses for international students requiring a visa must be submitted through the Universitaly portal.

The documents to be submitted are as follows:

– Form D;

– Passport plus a photocopy of the same.

– Letter of confirmation from the Italian University.

– Proof of the availability of adequate means of subsistence.

– Documentation proving the family’s economic situation.

– Declaration of financial support from parents.

– Photocopy of birth certificate.

– Availability of suitable accommodation in Italy.

– Health insurance.
