{"id":18579,"date":"2021-08-30T11:37:33","date_gmt":"2021-08-30T10:37:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.insuranceitaly.it\/?p=18579"},"modified":"2021-08-30T11:37:35","modified_gmt":"2021-08-30T10:37:35","slug":"falling-rental-prices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.insuranceitaly.it\/es\/news\/falling-rental-prices\/","title":{"rendered":"Falling rental prices for students in Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the summer the hunt for housing always starts for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.waitaly.net\/en\/pacchetti-welcome\/cittadino-extra-ue-richiedente-permesso-di-soggiorno\/\">off-site students<\/a>&nbsp;who move to other cities, to start or continue your course of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After years in which there has been constant price increases, in 2021 the trend was reversed due to the pandemic that also affected schools and universities, with the adoption of distance learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the costs of the main Italian university cities?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the first data collected, an&nbsp;<strong>average drop in costs of 2.5%<\/strong>&nbsp;emerges, with&nbsp;<strong>Milan&nbsp;<\/strong>which is certainly the most expensive in absolute terms, but at the same time it is the one that has suffered the greatest decline in housing rental demand: the cost of a single it is around \u20ac 470. Following are&nbsp;<strong>Rome<\/strong>, with an average cost of a single room of \u20ac 417, and to complete the podium&nbsp;<strong>Bologna<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Florenc<\/strong>e, where to rent a single room it takes about \u20ac 390.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ranking continues with&nbsp;<strong>Venice<\/strong>, where about 350 \u20ac are requested,&nbsp;<strong>Naples<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Bari&nbsp;<\/strong>with 320 \u20ac and Pisa with almost 310 \u20ac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Has the recovery begun?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compared to 2020, the search for rooms in the various cities has recorded record numbers: in&nbsp;<strong>Naples<\/strong>&nbsp;+ 600% on an annual basis, in&nbsp;<strong>Turin<\/strong>&nbsp;+ 160%, in&nbsp;<strong>Florence<\/strong>&nbsp;+ 150%,&nbsp;<strong>Bari&nbsp;<\/strong>+ 80%,&nbsp;<strong>Milan<\/strong>&nbsp;+ 30%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These numbers show how the recovery has actually started again in the research and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insuranceitaly.it\/news\/contratto-di-locazione-per-gli-studenti-stranieri\/\">renting<\/a>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.waitaly.net\/en\/pacchetti-welcome\/cittadino-extra-ue-richiedente-permesso-di-soggiorno\/\">student housing<\/a>, after last year the university cities suddenly emptied in March following the lockdown.
